Built with: files. The car's 49 sounds are synthesized with numpy: no third-party samples. template, with no Rockstar meshes, textures or sounds.
- Blender: the model is generated by our own Blender build script.
- Python: our own tools write the game's model, texture and archive files (WFT, WTD, IMG) and the text
- MinGW-w64: compiles the plugin (RoadsterX.asi).
- No third-party code or assets are included in the download. It's built on the game's own vehicle skeleton
Needs, but doesn't include: FusionFix by ThirteenAG and the FusionFix team, and Aru's C++ ScriptHook with the Complete Edition hook fix.
Thanks to the GTA IV modding community, ThirteenAG and the FusionFix team, and Aru for ScriptHook.

AI use

Some mod sites require this disclosure.

Roadster X was made with AI coding assistants (Anthropic's Claude, through Claude Code, and OpenAI Codex). The assistants wrote most of the code under perlytiara's direction:

the plugin (thrusters, flight, wing, panel, controls);
the Blender model script;
the file-format tools and the sound-synthesis scripts;
these documents.

perlytiara designed the car and its controls, directed every change, chose what shipped, and tested it in the game.

The model and its textures come from the build scripts, and the sounds from the synthesis scripts. The download contains no AI-generated images, voices or music.

Terms of use

Roadster X is free. These terms cover the files in the release zip, and the text and images on its Liberty Garage wiki pages. The source code is not part of either and is not licensed here.

You may

Download it, install it on your own PCs and Macs, and play it, free.
Show it in screenshots, videos and streams. A link back to the official page is appreciated. Rockstar Games' own video policy covers the game footage itself.
Change the settings file for your own use.
Put it in a modpack for your own private use.

Please don't

Re-upload or mirror it on another site, or in a public modpack. Link to the official page instead.
Share edited versions (changed model, textures, sounds or plugin) without asking first.
Sell it, charge for it, or put it behind a paywall, a subscription or an early-access tier.
Take the model, textures or sounds for another game, mod or product without permission.
Claim it as your own work or remove the credits.

Free, with an optional tip

Roadster X is a non-commercial fan mod, in line with Rockstar Games' mod guidelines and the licence of the ScriptHook it runs on. It is never sold. A tip link may be offered: a tip is a thank-you, and it unlocks nothing. Every version stays free for everyone.
